Mr. Thurman's practice centers on business and contract law, evenly balanced between office practice and litigation, with some appellate work in both state and federal courts.  His clients include a variety of mainstream businesses.  He also represents a number of physician groups in their dealings with hospitals and each other, including proceedings involving hospital privileges and exclusive service contracts.  In addition, he has extensive experience with business practice along the U.S - Mexican border, including dealings with U.S. Customs and operations within the Foreign Trade Zones.

Before completing his Ph.D. in business administration, Mr. Thurman was a small business owner, and his special understanding of the sometimes big problems facing small business gives his clients an edge when attempting to meet the challenges of today's difficult business climate.  Mr. Thurman attended the University of Texas School of Law and graduated with honors in 1981.
